A small town with big secrets, Eureka is a community of geniuses assembled by the government to conduct top-secret research. What they've unwittingly created is a place where anything imaginable can happen — and does. With Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) now firmly installed as Eureka's sheriff, there's still much he doesn't know about the goings-on at top secret research facility Global Dynamics.

The product placements are getting excessive

I love Eureka; it's one of my favorite series. I bought the other two seasons to watch and re-watch. But the product placements have gotten excessive. It was bad enough in the first episode when they hung a lantern on it, ha-ha, look at the product placements. But when I saw the seventh episode, 'Here Come the Suns', and it rapidly became apparent that Degree had bought an entire episode's plot as a product placement ("If only there was a way to protect us from the heat!"), it hurt me, deep inside. I still like the show, but I'm going to watch the rest of the season on SciFi Rewind; I cannot pay money to watch advertisements. I have been paying to watch my favorite shows on iTunes for a reason. If they survive to a fourth season, and don't fill it full of advertising nonsense, I'll happily come back and give them money.

A delightful twist on the mad scientist turned into an entire series. The science is not always full of the usual handwavium that many such shows are full of, but can, at times, get a bit beyond "fringe". What I like about the show is that the solutions to the problems, which they frequently cause themselves, is solved by figuring out a solution the old fashioned way.. by thinking. Sure, the acting will sometimes make the "pundits" and "critics" make disparaging remarks, but, then, that's their jobs. We, the audience, can enjoy the writing and acting and occasional big bang and nice visual effects for what they are: fun and entertaining TV. My thanks go out to the writers and producers for coming up with something that's not good guys and bad guys shooting at each other while terrorists have their way with a hapless public. Nice to see science rule the day and not violence.

great, smart, funny, brilliant, amazing. 5/5. both thumbs up.

if you are a sci fi fan, this is the show too get!
