Face Off is a competition/elimination series exploring the world of special-effects make-up artists and the unlimited imagination that allows them to create amazing works of living art. The contestants are tasked with elaborate feature challenges including executing full body paint make up on models and creating their own horror villain. Not only will the show incorporate effects make-up, it will include a wide range of skill sets including prosthetics, 3-D design, sculpting, eye enhancers, casting and molding. Each episode involves incredible reveals of the competitors' finished work, and the drama of one contestant being sent home by the panel of expert and celebrity judges. To determine who emerges victorious, Syfy has signed three-time Academy Award winner Ve Neill and Hollywood veterans Glenn Hetrick and Patrick Tatopoulos as Face Off's judges. Actress McKenzie Westmore hosts the series.

|3||HDClosed CaptioningVideoOut of this World||For the spotlight challenge, the artists visit the famous Star Trek television series filming location, Vasquez Rocks, in Southern California. While there, they are given details on their next challenge from legendary FX artist Michael Westmore, best known for his make-up work in various Star Trek productions. Their assignment is to imagine and create a creature that would inhabit a newly discovered planet. |4||HDClosed CaptioningVideoBad to the Bone||The artists pay a visit to the backlot of Universal Studios and the iconic Psycho House, where they meet Sean Cunningham, director and producer of the original Friday the 13th. For the spotlight challenge, the contestants must first create an original horror villain, and then collaborate with a production designer to create a movie poster with an original title and tagline. Their design must not only be creative, it must be functional and able to withstand the rigors of performing a choreographed dance routine. The final results are revealed in an eerie cemetery scene as the zombies perform a dance in front of the judges. |7||HDClosed CaptioningVideoFamily Plot||The families of the five remaining competitors are stationed in a local Los Angeles wig shop in order to play a part in this weeks spotlight challenge. |8||HDClosed CaptioningVideoTwisted Tales||In the final spotlight challenge, the remaining three contestants are assigned a classic fairy tale such as Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs. They must create two characters inspired by one of the tales, and place them in a fully art directed scene. i saw the premier and this was such a disappointment. i new it was going to be somewhat like ANTM or project runway but this was just atrocious. if you want the free version go ahead. but don't waste your money. its sadly crap.
Not a bad show I'm not really into these kind of shows and I saw the premire and liked it.
