Family Ties, Season 7TV-PGClosed Captioning

Description

The final season of Family Ties begins with the Keaton's camping trip turning into a comedy of errors ("It Happened One Night"). The good times don't last long when the family copes with Steven's heart attack and subsequent heart surgery in the 3-part "Heartstrings" episodes. Alex is forced to deal with change when Andy begins making new friends ("Truckers") and, later in the season, when he chooses between a friendship and his career ("The Job Not Taken"). The seventh season features four two-part episodes: in "All in the Neighborhood," the Keatons fight against bigotry in their own neighborhood. In "Wrap Around the Clock," Andy's time capsule revives some funny family memories and "They Can't Take That Away From Me" finds Alex having to choose between Lauren and a new love. Finally, in the series finale "Alex Doesn't Live Here Anymore," Alex bids a tearful goodbye to his family before moving to New York.

Pleased to see all 7 Seasons of F.T. on I-Tunes!!!

Michael J. Fox (Alex P. Keaton) is amazing! Fox won three Emmy awards for Family Ties, in 1986, 1987, and 1988. Brian Bonsall, (Andy Keaton) was a sweet little boy who won the young artist award in 1988, and 1989. I can’t think of 2 actors in this show whose futures became more different (than Fox’s & Bonsall’s). Fox went public with Parkinson’s disease, in 1998, decided to champion the cause to help as many people as possible afflicted with the disease. His foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, was created to help advance every promising research path to curing Parkinson's disease, including embryonic stem cell studies. We go from Champ, (Fox) to Chump, Bonsall, retired from acting in 1995, and just eroded into a law breaking Fugitive... I think what Michael J. Fox is doing inspite of his Parkinson’s disease is remarkable!:O Remember, Fox started displaying symptoms of early-onset Parkinson's disease in 1990 while shooting the movie Doc Hollywood, although he was not properly diagnosed until the next year.
