Best SciFi show written
Cheers to iTunes for making this available! However, if you are new to the series, be wary of the order of the first 6 episodes as they are listed. The correct sequence is: Premiere I, E.T. Exodus from Genesis Throne for a Loss Back and Back and Back to the Future Thank God It's Friday, Again From PK Tech Girl on, they are in correct order.
One of the greatest frelling scifi shows of all time
It was a tight race but Farscape became my favorite series show of all time. The chemistry among the actors works exceptionally well and the puppets / animatronics are elevated to the level of art. It's written smarter and with deeper allegory than any other program I have seen but due to lack of insight from the "smart folks" at network, Farscape was canceled at the end of it's fourth year. As a testament to the intelligence of it's audience, Farscape was returned to a finale feature film "Farscape, the Peacekeeper Wars" following an intense ad and lobby campaign by fan based associations. Buy this and each season as they become available and enjoy. You won't be disappointed. FWIW, the original season one boxed set has become a collectable selling for upwards of $400.00 on Ebay and Amazon, so for pure viewing enjoyment, this is a good deal.
So glad to see this great show on iTunes!
My husband and I are watching the boxed sets of this show now--we try to watch an episode every night, and right now we're almost halfway into Season 4. I was so happy when I saw this on iTunes. It's a wonderful series with colorful and dynamic characters. A lot of sci-fi shows leave you feeling "disbanded" from the group of characters; like you are not part of the group, only observing them like a fly on the wall. However, this show makes you feel like you are part of the group: like you have been invited over on a Friday night to your best friend's house to a game of poker. ...If you look closely, there are also some very close similarities between 'Farscape' and 'Dungeons & Dragons': John Crichton is a neutral good fighter; D'Argo is a neutral good fighter/barbarian, Chiana is a chaotic neutral rogue, Rygel is a lawful evil rogue, Aeryn is a lawful neutral fighter, Zhaan is a lawful good cleric/priest, and Scorpius is a lawful evil...something.
