For the games to begin. Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride”
Sarandon and Lange are FLAWLESS!
Ryan Murphy pefectly captures the period of Hollywood in the early 1960s. Sets, costumes, props, cars, are all captured in detail. The music and editing create an interesting pace and a certain drive to the proceedings. I find the screenplay to be factual and provocative. I was absolutely drawn into this backstage story of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford coming to grips with their aging beauty and desperation for the film "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?" to be a major comeback for them both. Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange capture the essence of these two Hollywood legends, not only as actresses, but as women fighting for respect and wanting to be loved. They're both brilliant in these roles. I loved the pilot episode and can't wait to see the continuing struggles, fights, heartbreaks, and major success Bette and Joan had with "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?". All I know is the film scared a little 5 year old back in 1963 watching it on a double bill, at the local drive-in, with Hitchcock's "The Birds"...and I loved every minute of it! I was a life long fan of both actresses from then on. Thanks Ryan, Susan and Jessica for bringing this incredible Hollywood story to life.
I love it already!!!
I can't wait Ryan Murphy is amazing ❤
