In the series that Rolling Stone cites as the “most exciting drama around right now,” Fringe returns from a season of alternate realities and endless impossibilities to explore the boundaries of a mysterious mythology that holds millions of viewers in its hypnotic grasp. Denizens of last season’s Fringe-verse included shape shifters, cryonic heads, belly-dwelling beasts and people who turn to ashes before our eyes. But Season Three continues the rabbit-hole journey of three unlikely souls — FBI Agent Olivia Dunham, Fringe Scientist Walter Bishop and his jack-of-all-trades son Peter — through mind-bending investigations, parallel realities and threats growing in the borderlands between science and the unimaginable. The world of the impossible is alive and well in this series that offers “the most satisfying, coherent story arc of any science-fiction-flavored primetime drama.” (The New York Times)

Brave Other World
At first glance, Fringe Season 3 premiers with less of an action-packed thriller than one might expect. What’s compelling however is that the writers have placed their bets on the psychology rather than explosions. The viewer is treated with allusions to none other than the original (1967) and remake of (2009) British spy psycho-thriller The Prisoner. Olivia is our prisoner, Walternate our new number two. The first tip off we get is Olivia’s interrogation, which is shot from an awkward wide-angle floor-up perspective very reminiscent of the original Prisoner. The second: Olivia’s cab driver, Henry (Cameron K. Smith), mirrors The Village cab driver, (Lennie James), known simply by his number—147. Henry’s cab number, 7x41. The final clue, however, leaves little doubt of the writers’ aim. We glimpse a man riding a penny-farthing bicycle, the antiquated machine that serves as The Village’s logo. With this subtle allusiveness, the eerie double role playing of the main characters and the best portrayal of an alternate universe, yet, Fringe promises to reward those intrigued by the hidden as much as by *action.* Like magic, the creators have transformed what would be just a dirigible into Agent Dunham’s prison and island guard: the Rover.

Out of this world
I love everything about this show. I've been watching it since episode 1 and it has never let me down. Its a great original show. If you haven't seen it, experience it for yourself.
Dont rate low!!!
I love this show as much as everything else and also as paranoid as the rest of u but DONT rate Fringe poorly due to Apples crappy service! You know the geniuses at Fox also look at support and star ratings for shows after viewer ratings before they make their decisions!!!! So I say to b&tch out Apple all we want, just DON'T GIVE FRINGE A LOW RATING BECAUSE OF IT!!!!!
