I liked it!
But then again...I'm biased b/c I think that USA has some of the best original programming on cable (or tv overall really). I watch a lot of USA. The networks (ABC,NBC,CBS) have jumped the shark for the most part. Everything is politics or just plain boring. With USA, I don't have that problem I can tune in on Thursdays, Sundays, and Fridays, and just watch and be entertained. White Collar is the fall replacement for Psych and although I miss Shawn and Gus...I will gladly watch Neal and Peter til they come back. Only the pilot has aired, so some things may change in the next episodes, but the cast worked great. I recognized a LOT of faces (the beautiful Diahann Carroll for one), but everyone fit their characters. I was very happy to see Tiffani Thiesen (I'm an 80s bsby) in this. I ilked the concept of the show a lot b/c I find white collar crimes to be interesting and nice change from the procedurals with all the murder and gore. Don't get me wrong, I love CSI...but it's nice to have an alternative crime show.
I really liked the Neal character. It's going to be easy to root for him...as well as Peter the FBI agent.
The reason I came to the page was so I could buy the episode, and then I decided to write a review. It aired last night (10/23) at 10pm and I've watched it twice since then. I enjoyed it that much. You won't be disappointed!
So far so good!
After watching the pilot, I think that it might become one of my favorite shows. It strikes me as sort taking of the ending of the "Catch Me If You Can" film and adding some twists. As I said in the title: so far so good!
This show has been hyped up so much, I was almost hoping that it'd fall flat on it's face just so I could laugh at it. However, I was pleasently surprised. The trailer, I'd admit, is nothing to be proud of, but having just caught the premier on USA, I can say it's amazing. I have honestly not enjoyed a show this much since I watched MacGyver. 5/5 stars, more if I could.
