"What’s a rhino’s horn made of? How far away is the moon? Why was the Great Wall of China built? Our viewers discover the answers when education meets comedy and adventure in this series about Gadget Boy, history’s youngest Bionic Boy Detective a pint-sized Inspector Gadget in the making. Our heroes travel to distant locales and different time periods, visiting the great events of history, learning about inventions, discoveries and artistic triumphs of different eras, all within the context of a comedy/action-driven storyline. Assisted by the lovely Agent Heather and his robotic dog G-9, Gadget Boy tracks down the evil villainess Spydra as she careens through time with her hapless henchmen, stealing, plundering, and changing significant historical events for her own gain. With Spydra on the loose, nothing is safe from the Opal Mines of Australia, to the ancient Phoenician’s moveable sail, to the discovery of fire. Gadget Boy’s job is two-fold: to foil Spydra and to mend any time discontinuity so that history is not altered. Our heroes learn about Neil Armstrong’s moon walk when they keep Spydra from seizing the moon rocks. They study the Mayan calendar, help young King Henry III ascend to the throne of England, greet Commodore Perry as he opens the doors to trade between East and West, help complete the Great Wall of China under Sh’ih Huang Ti, encourage the Wright Brothers to pilot their famous plane, guide Peary and Cook on their trek to the North Pole, and discover how an idea can grow into a novel when they save Mary Shelley from Spydra’s evil schemes. While the gags are pure Inspector Gadget/Gadget Boy, and Gadget Boy is as confused as ever, Agent Heather manages to keep him and our viewers on the historical track as she explains great events of history. Because, as Gadget Boy invariably explains, “Knowledge is power!”"
