WILL "GLEE" MAKE THE COMEBACK IT NEEDS?
Ever since its premiere four years ago, I've been big fan of "Glee," but even I have to admit that this show has lately taken somewhat of a downward spiral in its once-great writing. The interweaving stories are no longer as richly compelling as they used to be, a lot of the main characters have lost much of the charm and appeal that made them so likable in the first place, and the usual song covers in every episode are simply just hit-or-miss at this point. Even so, I haven't given up hope that this season will be able to turn things around for the better. Of course, the road ahead will be a very bumpy one, especially following the tragic and unexpected death of original star Cory Monteith this past July. But maybe this sad turn of events can actually influence and motivate the writers and cast to step up their game and produce the same humorous and dramatic content that made us fans of the show to begin with. Hopefully, this'll be the season where "Glee" finally goes back to its creative roots. For everyone's sake, let's hope it is.
Welcome back Glee!!
I absolutely love this show. I am interested to see what direction this season will take. It won't be the same without Cory Monteith.
Sad Glee Viewer
I agree with Broken Headphones. The used-to-be good characters have lost their charm, the story lines don't connect at all like they used to and the acting is now very cringe worthy most of the time. I don't really like the new characters….they just seem like fake knockoffs of the originals. Marley completely fails as a female lead character (i think Blaine took that part over), Puck Jr is ok…. And Ryder is like a mix b/w Finn and Sam (who I really don't understand what he brings to the show….he has been stale since day one to me). Kitty is just….dont even get me started. And the first episode was not all that too me tonight. Maybe cause I am not a Beatles fan?? O.o But I am so tired of Klaine its not even funny. Hopefully Glee will get back to its roots and be like they were in season 1. The actually funny scenes, the good dramatic/emotional acting, and songs in which we can actually hear the characters voice and not the computerized version of it
