On Hangar 1, for the first time ever, H2® has been given complete access to all the case files and physical evidence collected by The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Founded in 1969, MUFON is the most respected organization dedicated to investigating and classifying UFO activity, with field offices in 42 countries, over 800 local investigators and more than 30,000 case files. Now, all of MUFON’s files have been assembled in an abandoned location in Ohio called Hangar 1. The files, along with stories of UFO sightings, will shed new light on presidential cover-ups, blackouts and other disasters, and even rogue technology.
|1||HDClosed CaptioningVideoPresidential Encounters||From Truman to Obama, our modern day Presidents have all had rich and controversial histories with UFOs and extraterrestrials. In fact, Eisenhower, Nixon, Carter, and Reagan are each rumored to have had personal encounters. Inside HANGAR 1, MUFON files ask, "What do our presidents really know about the existence of UFOs?" Are some Presidents kept in the dark because they aren't trusted with that knowledge and how they might use it? Or, are they all aware, but the secrets are too dark and deep that full disclosure becomes a risk they just can't take?||42:46||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|2||HDClosed CaptioningVideoUnderground Bases||Hangar 1 files suggest that beneath mountain ranges, deserts and perhaps even one public airport, there exist Deep Underground Military Bases that are rumored to be the nerve center for some of the U.S. military's darkest secrets. Activities rumored to take place in these underground bunkers involve the study of UFOs, alien life, and black-project technologies. MUFON also exposes new, shocking files that reveal an alliance might exist between our government and an underground alien civilization. Is the U.S. government housing UFOs in these underground bases and could extraterrestrials already be living here on earth? We already look to the skies for proof of the existence of UFOs, but perhaps we should also be looking below our feet.||42:59||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|3||HDClosed CaptioningVideoAlien Technology||Could the greatest inventions of the twentieth century and beyond potentially be the products of reverse engineered alien technology? Inside Hangar 1, MUFON files trace mankind's technological boom to materials reportedly recovered from UFO crashes in the 1940s. MUFON investigates allegations of alien engineering, from the birth of the transistor in the 1950s, to military UFOs in the Middle East. Is our modern world built on a foundation of borrowed--or stolen--technology?||42:20||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|4||HDClosed CaptioningVideoCrashes and Cover-Ups||Inside Hangar 1, MUFON archives contain dozens of reports of UFO crashes--yet few of these incidents ever reach the public. In 1976, a UFO crash along the Gulf of Mexico leads to a confrontation between the U.S. and Mexico, with a deadly aftermath. In the 1800s, a small farm town holds a public funeral for an extraterrestrial pilot of a crashed flying saucer. And in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, one man's search for the truth behind a 1965 UFO crash may have led to his murder. Who is covering up evidence of UFO crashes, and how far will they go to keep you from knowing the truth?||42:41||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|5||HDClosed CaptioningVideoAmerican Hotspots||In the United States, there are certain areas that seem to attract more UFO sightings than others. |6||HDClosed CaptioningVideoSpace Weapons||Hangar 1 files reveal that President Ronald Reagan's personal encounters with UFOs may have been the driving force behind the Strategic Defense Initiative, a controversial program that may have led to a top secret space weapons platform to protect us from attacks from space. Waves of UFO sightings across the world may, in fact, be evidence of a secret fleet of military UFOs that we've created. Has NASA and the U.S. government been secretly building this program to protect us against alien and asteroid attacks? A look into MUFON's files suggests that these space weapons may already be in place.||42:53||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|7||HDClosed CaptioningVideoUnfriendly Skies||Commercial airline pilots and flight crew spend more time in the sky than anyone. It's no surprise, then, that many UFO sighting reports have been generated by pilots and airline personnel. UFOs have chased commercial flights and even collided with them. One UFO hovered in plain sight above Chicago's O'Hare Airport and was seen by dozens of witnesses. However, despite thousands of sightings, pilots are still discouraged from publicizing their experiences, and the few that do have faced professional ridicule and loss of their jobs. Hangar 1 files uncover many UFO incidents, and suggest that the next time you fly, keep your window shade open. You never know what you might see up in the skies.||42:03||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|8||HDClosed CaptioningVideoShadow Government||HANGAR 1 files suggest that when it comes to UFOs, there is a shadow government that operates beyond public and congressional scrutiny to protect and conceal information about the phenomenon. Stories of the Men in Black expose the extreme measures taken to protect these secrets from being revealed. If this shadow government does exist, what information do they have regarding the existence of UFOs? HANGAR 1 files investigate the origins of this shadow government, and the case files that expose their actions.||41:37||$2.99||View in iTunes|

Finally a Standard UFO Documentary Series
After the venerable documentary series “UFO Files” stopped producing new episodes for the History Channel, it seems like follow-up efforts all wanted to jump on the reality show bandwagon. UFO Hunters and Chasing UFOs are two that come to mind and the formula was always the same: a ragtag team of investigators would investigate UFO encounters, in a courageous and dangerous effort to get to the truth.
Unfortunately, the “truth” in these new UFO hows was more an exercise in sensationalism disguised as entertainment, dead ends, carefully edited “danger”, “personalities” as investigators and slick editing, where even the most mundane points were turned into “oh my gosh!” moments punctuated with the proper sound effect-exclamation. The only thing new discovered about the the UFO cases in these shows was how cool their night vision equipment was. Seriously, did anyone watching expect them to actually discover anything earth shattering in their investigations? If they had, the media would have learned about it months ago and it would have been all over the news long before the episode was completed and aired. So, there was never any drama or surprises, despite the producer’s best efforts to sell them that way.
Fortunately, “Hanger 1: The UFO Files” returns to its fore-bearer’s tried and true standard documentary format - talking heads and recreations about UFO incidents and topics. Even the “UFO Files” part made it into the name, which is a good thing. “Hanger 1” does not try to solve the UFO riddle like previous “investigation” shows tried and failed at. It simply is a basic UFO informational documentary and, for me personally at least, its good to finally see some non-sensational UFO documentaries come out. Another show, “Unsealed,” had come out in the last year or so as well, but it is far too sensationalistic and over-the-top. Not to mention some of its questionable conclusions.
And yet another, the popular “Ancient Aliens”, can be interesting at times, but they “reach” far too often in linking aliens with ancient man’s activities, and its hard to take the show’s conclusions too seriously. “Hanger 1”, on the other hand, is much more down to earth and enjoyable than any of those other shows, due to its low-key approach.
Whether you buy into the UFO controversy or not, if you are interested in watching some of the history of the UFO topic, “Hanger 1: The UFO Files” is one of the best efforts in years.
best UFO show I've seen in awhile I would also recommend watching "close encounters" from the science channel I got a few episodes into that and it was amazing but now iTunes says it's not available in USA half way thru season...ugh but would defiantly recommend this show for anyone interested in UFO information I think it's well done and I enjoy the style of the show and how everything is presented to you.
If MUFON ever had credibility, this series erodes it!
I am disappointed in the way that these cases are portrayed with sensationalism and outlandish assumptions. I used to believe that MUFON tried to be a scientific organization with an objective approach to the UFO phenomenon, but now more. I among others are extremely disappointed. Watchers beware!
