Sookie Stackhouse and her supernatural cohorts have a disturbing new political power play to deal with in Season 5--a growing war between the Vampire Authority and 'vampire fundamentalists'--and the outcome could decide the fate of human existence. In Season 5, the hit HBO series presents a whole new wave of otherworldly characters, including Vampire Guardian Roman (Emmy(R)-nominee Christopher Meloni) who seeks human-vampire co-existence; vampire zealot Salome (Valentina Cervi) who is intent on recreating the world in God's vampyric image; Authority Chancellor Nora (Lucy Griffiths) who shares the same maker as Sookie suitor Eric Northman; werewolves J.D. and Martha who want a reluctant Alcide to take his rightful place as packmaster; and more.

Off The Rails

I've been a fan of the books and the series since they both started.

I like the actors, and the way it is done, but the story on the show is so far off the rails, it has lost it's way. Hopefully the next season can come back to life in better shape than Elvis did.

great action.

Sookie seems to be more in the background this season. The whole thing is more focused on the vampires this time around. It's still entertaining but I miss the first few seasons' "style".

Season Pass

Love this show. Is it possible to buy the series and get access to the show as it is shown on HBO. I do not have cable and am not interested in getting cable for a couple of shows. You would probably make more money if you gave more people access to the show.
