Humans: Series 1HDTV-14

Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

HUMANS is set in a parallel present, where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a Synth –- a highly-developed robotic servant, eerily similar to its live counterpart. In the hope of transforming the way his family lives, father Joe Hawkins (Tom Goodman-Hill) purchases a Synth (Gemma Chan) against the wishes of his wife (Katharine Parkinson), only to discover that sharing life with a machine has far-reaching and chilling consequences. Through four concurrent story lines, HUMANS explores the emotional impact that comes as the lines between people and machines become increasingly blurred. The series also stars William Hurt, Colin Morgan, Rebecca Front, and Neil Maskell.

Great Show

You guys are slow on getting your shows online iTunes step up your game.....

? 12-year-old boys wrote this?

We're at a point in time and place (western society) where we must make important decisions about the progression of artificial intelligence. Many of us are knowledgeable about AI and its real and potential ramifications. The philosophical, epistemological and ontological concerns surrounding this topic are complex and fascinating--the opposite of this show. Lack of depth regarding characters, themes and even AI manifestations are inexcusable. One does not have to be an Elon Musk or Ray Kurzweil to pen a script that entices the viewer into the significant threat/benefit that is/may be AI. Alas, the writers and director seem to have the intellectual knowledge and curiosity of adolescents boys. Inexcusable. Especially when all of the more interesting debates surrounding AI are readily available online, via a variety of free resources. Examples of inanity: An AI wears a bra under her clothes? The one-note joke of teenage boy wanting to gets his jollies off with AI? The copying of scenes from the movie I, Robot. That gender roles would remain the same ion entities at the point of singularity.
