The Irken armada is poised to conquer the universe, but it would be a lot easier without Invader Zim! Thickheaded, brash, and overzealous, Zim has been banished into food service for wrecking the Irken home planet. He begs the Almighty Tallest for a second chance to reclaim his honor. Zim is sent on a "secret" mission to a planet far away on the edge of the universe – Earth. Now Earth's only hope rests with a young UFO-hunting paranormal enthusiast named Dib. Seeing through Zim's human disguise, Dib makes it his sole mission to defend our planet from this fiendish alien menace.

Manic and hilarious, yet sinister with a dash of evil, Invader Zim defies a simple genre classification. Jhonen Vasquez, creator of "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac" and "Squee!", really shows his dark genius in this series that was far too edgy for Nickelodeon. Zim sees the madness of the world through an outsider's point of view and constantly plots to destroy it, but is hampered both by his own stupidity and by his cheerful robot sidekick Gir, who is utterly, crushingly insane. He disguises himself as an Earth boy (with green skin and no ears) in order to infiltrate humanity and learn our weaknesses, and is opposed by Dib, a neurotic, obsessive crackpot who for some reason is the only one who sees through Zim's feeble disguise. Make no mistake- there isn't a single "normal" character in this show. Even Ron Jeremy has a cameo in one episode! If you've ever felt like an outsider, if you've ever wanted to bring doom upon the Earth, or even if you've ever spent a day in the public school system, Invader Zim will make your brain-meats quiver with joy. I can't begin to tell you how very, very dearly I adore this show. Do yourself a favor and watch the first episode, and bear in mind that it is actually the "weakest" of the series. It's worth noting that iTMS currently offers every episode that aired, but there are several unaired episodes that were completed before Nickelodeon pulled the plug. The complete series is available on DVD.
Best show ever
Just download it or the grr will kill you.. or sing at you.. or something.
I'm going to sing the doom song now!
Once a week I checked to see if Invader Zim would be added, and I'm glad to see my waiting finally paid off. Its level of humor is far beyond that normally seen in cartoons, and even live action shows. Hopefully we can make it sucsessful enough to bring it back from the dead here on iTunes!
