New way of looking at dogfighting
This show is enjoyable to both those "in the know" and the casual viewer. Anyone whose every been interested in flight and aerial warfare only to be stymied by understanding the terms (Split S, Thatch Weave, and Scissors anyone?) and 2D book illustrations of 3D concepts will get a chance to understand it all better by seeing the manuevers while they are described. This show uses computer generated animations to show all the action in a way that's half documentary, half video game - but don't let that put you off, this concept works! Combining after action reports, award citation texts and interviews by many of the pilots who fought in these battles leaves you with a new understanding of dogfights, and probably more than a little awe of the men who flew in those skies. Oh yeah, it's also entertaining too!
Flying Tigers definitely corrupt
I'll be one more to report a problem with the Flying Tigers episode. Don't download this episode unless there is some definite news that it has been fixed. A fun program and I would like to download some of the later episodes, but I'm gunshy. Can anyone report that later episodes are not a problem?
This is one of my favorite shows on the History channel. These are extremely well done CG re-enactments of famous aerial battles. I have seen all the episodes and I like them all.
