Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

Jarod is a Pretender — a genius whose exceptional intelligence allows him to assume various identities at will, be it doctor, test pilot, or lawyer. Taken from his parents at an early age, Jarod was brought up in the Centre, a think-tank facility where he believed his computer-like mind was being used to benefit mankind. But when he learned the simulations he solved were being sold to the highest bidder no matter what their intent, Jarod escaped. Now on the run, Jarod embarks on a search for his true identity while also attempting to balance out any wrong his simulations have caused by helping people who are as powerless as he once was.

Can't wait for other seasons

Excellent show! Sometimes a little predictable, but often there's that unexpected twist that just makes you go "what? no" I really wish they'd get the other seasons up here! Also, i think that the eps are listed out of order "Dragon House" should be the season finale...make sure you watch that one AFTER watching all the other eps. Great show overall!

A brilliant beginning.

Jarod was a very special young man. A genius, gifted with the ability to become anyone he wanted to be. At a young age, he was kidnapped by a shadow organization called The Centre. With every waking hour of his life recorded for posterity, Jarod was given task after task. The Centre dubbed him a Pretender. Then, when Jarod found they were using his findings for evil purposes, he ran away. That's where the story starts. Michael T. Weiss plays Jarod, a naive soul in the world, but perhaps the smartest man around. Jarod helps those in need as he tries to find his long-lost family. At every turn, he is blocked by Miss Parker (Andrea Parker) a Centre operative who has her own tragic past to discover as she tracks Jarod. She is aided by Sydney (Patrick Bauchau) and Brootz (Jon Gries) as they criss-cross the country looking for the man who can be anyone. The series ran for four seasons on NBC and was followed by two TV movies on TNT.
