While tracking a band of Maquis rebels across the Badlands, the USS Voyager and her crew are pulled 70,000 light years across the galaxy into the Delta Quadrant. Stranded without a chance of rescue and with much of her crew dead, Captain Janeway joins forces with the Maquis and begins the long journey home. Determined to find friends and shortcuts wherever they can in this unexplored space, her crew must battle all-new alien dangers as well as shipboard conflicts — and keep their Starfleet ideals intact.

This might be the BEST Star Trek series

Voyager is my favorite Star Trek show. There is something about the set design, art direction and writing on this series that provides all the elements of Sci-Fi that I'm drawn to. The cast has great personality and is likeable (not you Neelix!), and many of the episode plots are really inventive and unfold the way some of the great episodes did on TNG. If you're one of those Star Trek fans that never gave Voyager a chance when it originally aired because you were glued to that soap-opera over on DS9, definitely pick up a few of these episodes. The show really hits its stride in later seasons, shortly after the appearance of Seven of Nine.

Well, this is a nice surprise. Star Trek Voyager makes its debut on iTunes! This was a fun series cause you not only have the Maquis renegades, you also have to fend off the Kazon, The Krenim Imperium, the Vidiians, and more importantly.... the BORG!!!! Voyager got pulled into the Delta Quadrant by The Caretaker looking to find a compatible mate to carry on his work protecting the Ocampa. However, the Kazon had their own plans for the Caretaker's Array that would have enabled them to destroy the Ocampa. Captain Kathrine Janeway decided it was well worth destroying the array; despite the fact it's the only way home. She destroyed the Array and in the process, made an enemy of the Kazon. Also taking on 2 new guests: A Telaxian named Nelix and an Ocampan female named "Kes" (hotly in love, mind you) They wanted to partake on Voyager's Journey home: to Earth. There is heart, emotion, humor and seriousness. Not to mention controversy. After Voyager's primary physician was killed in the act of dragging Voyager to the other side of the galaxy, the EMH (Emergency Medical Hologram) had to take over. But he presented the arrogance of the Mark 1 EMH's. Over time, he becomes just as loveable as any member of the Voyager Crew! But it's not all fun and games. Janeway (Star Trek's first Woman captain) had to make a choice: lock up the Maquis crew for the entire trip home, or attempt to involve them in everyday ship activities. Not for the faint hearted. She decided to attempt to merge them into her crew. Most for the good, some not so much. One even relayed classified information on Voyager to the Kazon in the hopes of finding a quick way out from what looked to be a 75-year journey. From Maquis spies to Seska (Cardassian agent who infiltrated the Maquis and later allied herself with the Kazon) to incredibly odd spacial phenomenon striking at nearly every turn, Voyager's trek home is just beginning! Countless hostile species (most involved in their own set of internal squabblings), Only 35 photon torpedoes, and no way to replace them or to refuel the ship, Will they ever make it back? Join Voyager and its crew in their attempt to get home.

A personal favorite

I know Voyager is considered by many to be one of the lower points of the Star Trek franchise, but personally, this crew is one of my favorites. No one can match Jean-Luc and Data, but Janeway and the Doctor have their own charm. This first season sees the forging of two crews into one and sets up the challenges they will face for the next seven years, particularly that of isolation. Give it a try - meet Tuvok, Torres, Paris, Kim, Neelix, Chakotay, Kes, Janeway and the Doctor - and see them begin a journey that will lead to some of the best episodes of Sci-Fi television down the road...and hope that later seasons will be added soon!
