If they make the grade, the Academy members may be invited to investigate with the Ghost Hunters or Ghost Hunters International teams. If they don't, they may be sent packing. I dont know if i like this. I love the Taps team the way it is! I dont know if i'm guna like it if we have all these people comming in and not knowing what they are doing. It takes away from the reall excitement...the actual paranormal! I watch this show because i believe and i want to see more evidence! I LOVE TAPS & GHI! More episodes please!
Produced well - Don't watch it to see Ghosts!
I think what the Producers of the show (not the cast) are trying to do, is to find a new member for the team for 2010. Instead of just giving them a few runs on Ghost Hunters, J and G probably thought a "new" show could be created to achieve this result.
It works for me and it should work for you if you DON'T compare it to Ghost Hunters, but look at it from this perspective. I think its awesome :)
PS Glad to see the cast on twitter! @terencemonro
NOT GH or GHI. This is 'Reality TV.'
I agree with the previous reviewer who stated as long as look at this show as a stand alone, it works. Plus, eventually J and G will have their new member. I think it's interesting because you get to see a lot of what goes on behind the scenes- i.e. setting up, planning, tearing down, and all the tests Steve and Dave through at these guys (and gals.) Sometimes they some down pretty hard on these raw recruits, but then again they are looking for a certain caliber of person to be part of the GH or GHI team. All in all, I hate to repeat what others have said but if you're looking for ghosts, this isn't the show for you; however, if you're interested in learning some tricks of the ghost hunting trade yourself, then the show can be a definite positive.
