PEEP and the Big Wide World, Vol. 1TV-YClosed Captioning

Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

Set in and around a pond, a bush, and a tin can, PEEP and the Big Wide World follows a newly hatched chicken named Peep, and his friends Chirp and Quack (a robin and a duck), on their daily adventures. Surrounding them is a large urban park — a place of great wonder and mystery, a place they are forever eager to explore, a place they call "the big wide world." Each half-hour episode contains two stories which highlight specific science concepts, plus two live-action shorts presenting real kids playing and experimenting with these concepts in their own big wide worlds. Narrated by award-winning comedienne Joan Cusack, PEEP and the Big Wide World is a funny, engaging series that celebrates being curious, being adventurous, and, for at least one character, being a duck.

Customer Reviews

Entertaining, clean, and fun to watch

We love this show. It's one of those that is very amusing for parents too. It's very pleasant, slow-paced enough that it doesn't ever get frenetic or loud, and just so cute. The characters are entrancing because of the way they are drawn, and their little world is fun. Quack, the duck, is our favorite. He is grumpy, cynical, egotistical, and generally the foil for the whole show. The best episode, in my opinion, is Quack Quack/One Duck Two Many, where another duck shows up (Megan Mulally in a perfect role for her) and upsets Quack's egocentric apple cart entirely.

Peep and the Big Wide World

My kids love this TV show. Couldn't wait to download it. A must have ...

LOVE Peep!

It's one of the best kids shows out there from about age 1 to 6. Seriously, I have seen every episode about 10 times and my husband and quote Quack (what parent doesn't love Quack?). It teaches kids science concepts in a way that doesn't feel like you're at school AND it's still entertaining for adults.
