Vol. 1 & 2
The show is great. I love it. How iTunes is selling the show, however, is ridiculous.
It's one season. One. Yet, for some reason, iTunes has split it into two volumes, charging full price for both even if you already had the season pass for the first one. Not only that, but "The Heather Report, Part 2" is missing both from Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, for reasons unknown. While I purchased the season pass for Vol. 1 (which was not advertised as a volume at the time, but as the full season), I will not pay full price for Vol. 2. I feel ripped off that I paid for a SEASON pass, and yet I'm only receiving HALF of a season. So while the show is great, no, I refuse to pay for a whole season pass for only half of a season. It's a ripoff.
I don't know if this was either iTunes or Dreamwork's idea. But this is insane. You want us to buy another season pass for a show that's still in it's first season? A season pass means the WHOLE first season, not half! And I'm guessing the Heather Report Part 2 will probably be on this Volume. I love this show, but if you want me to pay another $20 for this. It's not happening. Who know's if I'm even going to get the rest of the season. There's probably going to be a Volume 3 at this rate before the first season ends.
About Season Pass and Volumes
This is a great show with an amazing animation, I love it! I highly recommend to buy it and watch it in 1080p! I have already bought.
And I want to say something here.
It seems that some people do not understand some things. "Season Pass" - is a conventional term, the definition for which is written under its respective button. Please read carefully: "This Season Pass includes all current and future episodes of Dragons: Riders of Berk, Vol. 1" and "This Season Pass includes all current and future episodes of Dragons: Riders of Berk, Vol. 2". It is not written that "Season Pass" includes all episodes of the first season of "Dragons: Riders of Berk". It applies only to the volumes. And "Volume 1" of "Dragons: Riders of Berk" is never called "Season 1" from the beginning - please do not mislead people. And I when I bought the "Season Pass" of Volume 1, I knew that this is not a full season.
I only can say that it would be better to rename "Season Pass" to "Volume Pass" for Volumes, just to avoid such misunderstandings.
Next. "Season Pass" of the first volume of the first season costs 20$ (in HD) - do you really expect to get all 20 episodes of the first season for such small fee? 19.99/20 ~ 1 $ per episode in this case. When a single episode costs 3$ (In HD). Doesn't it seem strange to you? If you buy every episode (out of 20) separately, you will spend 20*3$=60$. If you buy all of the two volumes of the first season, you will spend only 2*20$=40$. Thus, the discount will be 33% if you buy the volumes, not individual episodes separately. But if you think that you will get all 20 episodes for 20$, you are wrong. The discount for the "Season Pass" would just have amounted to 67% in that case - which is nearly impossible.
And you can check this show out in other stores - the volumes and the prices are the same as on iTunes. You can also compare prices on volumes of other shows that are sold on iTunes.
So, it is not iTunes fault.
The only thing that disappoints me in iTunes is the fact some episodes aren't included in "Season Pass" immediately (like in the case of 8th and 11th episodes) for some reason. I think "Heather Report, Pt. 2" will be included in "Season Pass" soon.
