Was not expecting much thinking this would just be another "soap opera" type show.
Some ways.. Yes it is; but the acting and fact that such an amazing time in recent history is actually done pretty well have won me over! Cast is really quite good!
My favorite new show of the summer.
I really expected not to like this show… As a space geek (yep, I have a season pass to KSC) and a pilot I had low expectations for this summer space-filler. I’m glad I gave it a chance. I watched the first 4 episodes on hulu in one sitting. Not that this show is perfect or always accurate but the writing is solid and the actors do a great job portraying their respective historical figures. This show seems to capture the humanity of the early space program. There are very few technical references and it really focuses on how life must have been like for the families of the pioneering astronauts. Even if you have no knowledge or desire to learn of the early space race and NASA you should check out this show. It’s entertaining and I am inspired to read the book this show is based on.
Wonderful show!!! A def must see show!
