Millions of Americans struggle with addiction. Most need help to stop. From compulsive gamblers to shopaholics to drug addicts, Intervention profiles people whose dependencies or compulsive behaviors have brought them to a point of personal crisis and estranged them from their friends and loved ones. In Season 3 you’ll see addicts on the verge of disaster — a successful musician and crack addict, an alcoholic mother, a woman whose dream of becoming a doctor has been destroyed by bulimia, and a straight A student turned meth addict — go head-on with family, friends and a professional interventionist in a surprise intervention. There the addicts have a choice: go to treatment and get help or face exile and isolation from those who love them most.
