One Of My Favorite TV Shows Ever But . . .
Let’s get real: the final season was terrible. Levon as Hank’s son? C’mon? I sympathize with the writer’s desire to get Heather Graham on the show (she’s super hawt) but as Levon’s mom? And as Hank’s unknown baby-momma #1? Please. It’s like the writers were just tired and lazy and were ready to put the show to bed. It’s sad. Hank and Karen sizzled when they were on screen together and this season could have been an amazing send off, but it wasn’t. It was downright terrible. And the final episode? What a disappointment. I just pretend this season doesn’t exist and let it end on the last episode of season six, which was excellent in every way. I’ll definitely miss Hank.
Criticisms aren’t warranted
Don’t listen to the haters of the final season. This series has been provided consistent laughs the whole way through. The story turn of the final season can be seen as off-putting and cheesy because it was only written that way introduce a new cast. Although the additional supporting cast is as strong and funny as any season before it (with the exception of Lew Ashby). Great end to the series, if you’ve come this far you owe it to Hank Moody to finish his masterpiece.
Still has some moments, but lacked the real depth that was there in the early seasons. Sadly, like Hank often was, the series ended bereft of really good ideas and runs out of puff, when it could have been one glorious goodbye.
