Hannah John-Kamen stars as the gorgeous, complicated and deadly Dutch. A top-level Killjoy, she’s a much-loved and charming presence in her community, with a unique gift for earning people’s trust and respect regardless of their class. Under her banter and self-protective flirtations, there is pain, maturity, and a deep solemnity resulting from a dark, secret past. Aaron Ashmore takes on the role of John Jaqobis, a Level 3 Killjoy who, despite his profession, is a peacemaker who hates conflict. Cheerful and kind-hearted, John prefers not to fight, but his sarcastic wit has put him into the fray enough over the years to teach him how to do it well -- and dirty. Give this man any machine or situation, and he can fix it, build it, and fly it. Luke Macfarlane plays D’avin Jaqobis, a handsome, rugged, sarcastic and incredibly loyal former soldier. He dreamed of enlisting in the military since boyhood, and his hard-won expertise in tactics, maneuvers, and hand-to-hand combat make him an instant asset to the Killjoy team.

Finally - some sci-fi from Syfy. A lot of first episodes have a weak start - but this got right into it. World development, character development, flashbacks of character history, a bit of mystery, hints of things to come... this can get built into a very good series wiht the right writing.
Only thing I don't get is why they have to put "MA" across the screen when there's no "MA" in the episode - unless it was for a word or two - but I hear those on prime time all the time. SO.....
but I liked the start and committed to the season because of it. .... don't do that very often.
This show was a surprise. Starts off as just basic space bountyhunter stuff. Not good or bad. Last twenty minutes really picks up. Impressed with the actors. If you think you might like this, give it a shot. It won't be a waste of your time.
Not exactly original—bounty hunters with no other allegiances, except personal ones. The lead female is chock full of cliches, exudes fake strength. I’ll watch one more episode and hope it improves. So far, not any better than Dark Matter, another new Syfy show that is totally unoriginal.
