Description

Patti Stanger is back and better than ever in Season 7 of Bravo's hit docu-series The Millionaire Matchmaker. In this season of fresh faces and new surroundings, Patti's business is thriving in a swanky new office in Marina Del Ray with an entirely different team of matchmakers. The love guru has enlisted her new staff - assistants Justin Bird, Marisa Saks, and David Cruz - to spice up "The Millionaires Club" and bring their unique dating expertise to Patti's clients. Along with her usual high-maintenance millionaires, Patti has another diverse roster of rich singles from all over the spectrum, from Kim Kardashian's BFF Jonathan Cheban, Katrina Parker (The Voice), the late Patrick Swayze's actor brother Don Swayze, Courtney Kerr (Courtney Loves Dallas), Rosie Pierri (The Real Housewives of New Jersey), and Stefan Richter (Top Chef). Patti is working on balancing her ever-growing business and her relationship with boyfriend David Krausse. Can Patti and David resolve their communication issues now that they are living under the same roof?

Bravo Celebrity Hook Ups...

I used to love Millionaire Matchmaker. Patti Stanger is incredibly entertaining and fantastically blunt even if she is acerbic and I think at one time she actually *was* a successful matchmaker. In the first few seasons the clients actually seemed "real" and it was fun to watch Patti break them down and do the casting sessions for potential client matches. It did seem like most of the clients wanted to find some sort of long-term relationship (as well as get some exposure) and were truly messed up in some way.

However, this season has become episode by episode increasingly fake and all about product placement, minor celebrity set-ups and cross-Bravo tv show promotion. To this end, Patti's invented "MITs": Millionaires in Training to include Bravo celebrities who aren't millionaires. Clearly "clients" are signing up to advertise their products or businesses or themselves - in the past it's been subtle, but now it's just pathetically obvious. Change the show title to "Bravo Celebrity Hook Up" if that's what it is now.

Also the new assistant cast is pretty vanilla; they just fade into the background. They don't have strong enough personalities to provide Patti a decent foil. And Patti now treats her celebrity clients with such kid gloves there's no entertainment value at all from their participation in the show.

I'll probably still watch bc Patti remains decently entertaining but this is the season MM jumped the shark...and nothing interesting happened.

Time to end the series.

The show is painful to watch, perhaps it's because I am not in Hollywood and not pretentious. But when someone says "we need to get this right because the guy is Kim Kardashian's friend' you know you've reached an ultimate low in your life and really need revaluate what's important in life besides talentless people who become famous for nothing. The new co-stars are okay, as a viewer I embrace change, but Patti herself has become even more shallow and empty headed and acting all Donald Trump.

Disappointment

Seems scripted and fake. The new "matchmakers" are awful. I miss the old Millionaire matchmaker. Disappointments that I bought the season before seeing the first one. Mistake.
