Description

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is the hard-hitting and emotional series from NBC. The drama follows Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), a seasoned veteran of the unit, and his partner, Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), whose difficult past is the reason she joined the unit. Captain Donald Cragen, (Dann Florek) oversees the unit with his tough but supportive approach to the team's complex cases. Detective John Munch, (Richard Belzer), a transfer from Baltimore's homicide unit, brings his acerbic wit and street-honed investigative skills to the team. And his partner, Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (Ice-T), adds his unique sense of humor and investigative experience. Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak (Diane Neal) brings closure to the intense investigations with her legal expertise. The forensic psychiatrist, George Huang (B.D. Wong) provides significant clues that lead to the resolution of a case, while Medical Examiner Melinda Warner (Tamara Tunie) lends her skills to uncover forensic evidence.

Emmy Nomination for Ludacris...

OK, everyone knows SVU is probably the best Law & Order in the franchise.... but the "Venom" episode raises the bar. Words I never thought I would say, but "Ludacris" deserves an Emmy nomination for his guest appearance in the episode. Glad I missed it on TV and decided to download, now I get to own this episode for perpetuity. Also, I need to find out the name of the actor who plays Ice-T character's son ;-) ???? http://dfa4muse.com

Every Chocolate in the Box

It's just as sweet as that. By far, the best of the Law & Order series. Special Victims Unit brings to light some of the best colaberations of story lines, either fiction or "ripped from the headlines", and portrays them into a great drama at least 95% of Americans can relate to. Unlike the original series, SVU has elements of shock, surprise, heartbreak, and even humor as major contributions to its success! Sex crimes are normally viewed as "Don't-bother-me-with-it-unless-it-affects-me" kind of attitude. SVU helps to change that by confronting you with those various situations and circumstances that you would normally pass over on the news on any given day. And, like we have seen time and time again, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Season 7 sets the standards extremely high for a prime-time drama that no other network can touch. And it's the work put into episodes like "Blast" that will keep Law & Order fans watching for many more seasons to come. And the best part is, some episodes shock you so much, it'll keep you talking about it for days after the episode ends. And THIS is why I am a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fan. If you haven't seen this show, a great introductory episode is "Blast".... my personal favorite AND, in my opinion, the best episode of the entire series. :)
