Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("The Tudors") stars in this provocative new drama as one of the world's most iconic characters. It's the late 19th century, and the mysterious Dracula has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He's especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night - useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: he hopes to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan...until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife. From the producers of the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning hit "Downton Abbey" comes "Dracula," a twisted, sophisticated and sexy take on Bram Stoker's classic novel, proving that some stories never die.

Just watched the first episode and I must say, for a network program, it's pretty good. Much better than I thought it would be. There are still some noticeable old network conventions that they (thankfully) try to break out of and while it's clear they have a limited budget to work with, the sets and costumes are amazing. I enjoyed the stylized fight sequences and practical effects. The acting isn't overdone or cartoonish and it looks like the story has enough depth in it to allow the cast to grow into their roles.

After seeing the first episode, I'm getting the pass. The show has a lot of promise and I'm looking forward to where they take this series.

Now THAT is a Vampire!!!! Love it!

Great Show

To good for network . They never keep a really good horror show pass 1season to much blood and sex for network but I love it and will watch it tell the end.
