As the final war between good and evil looms, two powerful avatars divided by fate share a single mission. For Ben Hawkins and Brother Justin, the race is on to find Henry Scudder—and the fate of the world depends on who finds him first. With mankind on the eve of apocalyptic destruction, the battle between good and evil resumes in Season 2 of this Emmy®-winning HBO drama series. In Season 2, the conflict, played out in the dust-bowl era 1930s, comes to a hair-raising series of climaxes. Nick Stahl returns as Ben, a young man whose evolving spiritual powers are his only hope against his nemesis Brother Justin (Clancy Brown). But in order to defeat his enemy, Ben must first find his father—the elusive Scudder—who holds the crucial link for both men.

Yanked before its time

This show is fantastic. The atmosphere and acting are superb. HBO's decision to drop it was not. They should have given the producers enough time to wrap the loose ends up by the end of this season. As it stood, fans were left wanting more, and HBO was left sitting on their wallet.

An Amazing Show

This television series is amazing! Once you start watching, you don't want to stop. This show's development is easy to follow and easy to fall in love with. The characters truly come to life and you're always left wanting more. You will be left wondering, and talking about Carnivale long after you see the show.

Stunning show

I understand the reasons why this show was yanked before its time. It was very expensive to produce and it didn't generate a large enough audience to justify such expenditures. But I still think it was a premature move. Given another season (and better adverstising) I am sure Carnivale would have punched toward a much bigger audience. This show was exquisite and challenging, unique in tone and perspective and a true foray into the world of the supernatural, so unlike that cheap soap opera True Blood that has become so inexplicably successful.
I beg the powers that be at HBO to bring back Carnivale, even if only for a mini season of 4 episodes or so. We devoted fans of the show (and paying customers of HBO) need and deserve a better resolution.
