It Was The Best Of Times, It Was The Worst Of Times ...

Watching "LOST" is a bit like living on Wonder Bread and Denny's coffee ... and then taking your first bite of Panera Bread (for those of you from Michigan and Ohio!) and your first drink of Starbucks House Blend at the same time. You're ticked off and embarrassed that you've somehow settled for less that what was really out there ... and you're thrilled at your new discovery. If brains had taste-buds they'd be hooked on "LOST". Character development that doesn't make you feel stupid. Plot lines more crooked than an Irish lane. Locations that make you want to be there (or not!). And stories that draw you in without sucker-punching you late in the 10th round. Plots and stories are not the same thing ... plots are the infrastructure of a good yarn, and stories are what make you care about coming back for more. "LOST" has both. Season Three's Opener "A Tale Of Two Cities" was just what I hoped it would be.

Good Start

Another episode that makes you ask more questions. I was excited to see what "the others" camp actually looked like, Kate looking hot in a dress, and I love the Jack-flashback--good drama. Ben is definitely the perfect villain (the scene where he eats with Kate on the beach is creepy and sinister), and Juliet seems like the perfect mate for Jack...this is going to be a great season.

Just wow...

The season premiere of Lost was excellent. The first 5 minutes were typical Lost greatness, and I think they were smart to give fans a small taste of the Other's homes on the island...if it even is an island?? The Jack flashbacks were great, and Ben(formerly Henry Gale) looks like a menacing SOB. I cant wait for more of this season.
