Description

Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer has resigned his throne and retired to the City of Angels, where he is indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, song. When a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered before his eyes, he feels something awaken deep within him – for the first time in roughly 10 billion years. Is he actually capable of feelings for a human being? The very thought disturbs him — as well as his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen (aka Maze), a fierce demon in the form of a beautiful young woman. The murder attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Dancer, who finds herself both repulsed and fascinated by Lucifer. As they work together to solve the murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Used to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, he begins to wonder if there’s hope yet. Maybe everyone’s got a chance for redemption. Even the Devil.

Controversial

Those of you who go through the reviews before buying an episode or a season pass can't really expect very good reviews in here. The show creators have chosen a controversial topic and have given it a new spin. So naturally, some sentiments are going to be hurt. Some people may comment upon what they feel is lack of originality. Some people may write crap just out of spite. But what I've fathomed over the internet so far seems to suggest that Lucifer is gonna be a great show, with a superb plot and some phenomenal actors. And as long as it stays that way, I'm buyin'.

Sinfully Hypnotizing!!!

I'm so obsessed. I was obsessed within the first, say 45 seconds? And I'm extremely suspicious and untrusting of new shows. Like people, they just don't make em like they used to. I enjoyed seeing Shay of Chicago PD rise from the dead, as did Miss Vicki Donovan of TVD and Jesus from True Blood. And although most know him from other things, that beautiful angel Amenadiel? He will always be the sexiest school principal in history to me. I'm of course referring to Mr. Robin Woods of the final season of Buffy. Though the role was short, the backstory was deep, the fight scenes were hot and like all the rest of them, he was gone all too soon. Interesting to see so many of my favorite dead characters rise again on a show about the devil. Hmm. Juxtaposition. Gotta love it. Anyway even with all these great actors and interesting characters they play, Tom Ellis is what sets this show ablaze. So seductive. And it's not the accent. (Which is so on the nose.) Of course the devil has a British accent. LOL But I don't even mind it! It's perfect. He purrrrrrs with each and every line he gives and the camera reaches miles into his eyes. He's quirky, hilarious, obviously arrogant and dripping with sex. (Seriously I'm Latina & in my prime, I could get pregnant just watching him!) But then he becomes awkwardly human when met with a beautiful woman who seems to be immune to his "charms" as he put it. Alright FOX I'll take the bait. WHY??? Lol Really though I can sense when a show is gonna get the ax before it even premieres. Truly, it's a gift with a better success rate than condoms. (Why can't I stop thinking about sex?!) But with this I'm far too biased to know if it's my gut or my "carnal fascination" talking. I'm on the fence about whether it'll stay or go. I'll keep watching till the wheels fall off either way, but I'll tell you one thing, I pray to Tom Ellis it stays!

Enjoyed the First Episode

Interesting mythical side story to a crime drama. Witty dialogue and decent plot. I will enjoy watching how the season unfolds. Will the devil lose his immortality and his heart?
