Nip/Tuck, Season 5HDTV-MAClosed Captioning

Open iTunes to preview or buy TV shows.

The cultural phenomenon that is Nip/Tuck continues in its fifth season, exploring how society views youth, beauty and aging. Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Christian (Julian McMahon), close friends and business partners, try to settle into their new plastic surgery practice in Beverly Hills and struggle to build it from the ground up. New opportunities arise after they meet a slick Hollywood publicist who offers to help raise their reputation through the media rather than via their surgical abilities. And drama weaves new webs as romantic triangles bend and break. Season 5 features many guest stars, including Oliver Platt, Lauren Hutton, Bradley Cooper, Paula Marshall, Portia de Rossi, Jennifer Coolidge, Craig Bierko, Daphne Zuniga, Tia Carrere and John Schneider. Rosie O'Donnell reprises her role as lottery winner Dawn Budge, and Leslie Grossman reprises her role as former patient Bliss Berger.

What Happened, Nip/Tuck?

I do not recommend getting this season. Nip/Tuck has really gone down the tubes! The first 3 seasons were outstanding, edgy, and pure genius. Season 4 and 5 made no sense! They jumped around so much, it was awful! The whole Julia and Christian thing was really stupid and pointless, and Sean's stalker was just...dumb. I almost thought that some of the writers left the show or just ran out of ideas. Just stick to the first three seasons.

While I used to be an avid follower of Nip/Tuck, I have found that this season has really let me down. I was a huge fan of the first three seasons, but the plots of the 4th and 5th seasons have really left me disenchanted with the show. Each episode becomes more and more far-fetched, as it seems the writers are struggling to come up with fresh ideas. While I wouldn't steer anyone away from Nip/Tuck, I would highly reccomend starting with the first few seasons, because those are truly original and are what got me addicted to this show. Once you see those, then go and watch this season and be the judge for yourself.

By far the most provactive/adult show on TV...not too mention the best...Kudos to iTunes for bringing it too the faithful...
