Rick Grimes in space
Rednecks in space. This is not intelligent or interesting.
So is it a documentary or a tv show?
Guess it has a hard time deciding what it wants to be. Documantary or TV show? Either way it plays out like the plot of a bad science-fiction B-movie. Some of the claims made are wildly speculative. Only saw this because the first episode was available for free on itunes.
A fascinating drama-slash-documentary
This was unexpected...in a very good way. The juxtiposition between present day real on-going science and working on sending humans to Mars with the imagined 2033 crew is quite different than your everyday 'sci-fi' drama. Meshing up the real with the imagined makes it feel more real and plausible - almost documentary-like (part of it is). The editing and cinemotography is well done, focusing in on the people, their faces, their emotions, their interactions. The CGI is well done too and not overdone or implausible. It's all about imagining a real journey to Mars. It's well acted and I'm in to see how this drama/reality/documentary show plays out. And, no, it's not 'rednecks' in space. 5 Stars!
