Miffy and Friends, Summer Fun

On a cloudy day, Miffy and Barbara Bear go out to look for some coloured leaves. When it starts to rain, Barbara walks Miffy home under her big umbrella. From the coloured leaves they have collected they make some beautiful rain clothes to wear! Grandpa and Grandma Bunny take Miffy to the beach. They remember making sandcastles when they were young, so that is what Miffy decides to do! She meets Melanie, and together they play with a ball. They won’t get lost, because the sandcastle marks the place where the family is. But then the tide comes in, and soon the sandcastle has been washed away.

Miffy is at the beach with her father. She is careful of the hot sun, and tries to stay in the shade. This isn’t easy, but then the sun sets and the whole beach is in the shade. As they drive home, Miffy dreams of the bright yellow sun. On the last day before the summer holidays, Miffy and Melanie make a present to give to their teacher. She is very pleased with her decorated flowerpot and paper tulips.They play in the playground, and at the end of the day everyone takes a plant home. The flowerpot and paper tulip stay in the windowsill, waiting for them to return...

One perfect blue-sky day, Miffy and her father and mother decide to go for a summer picnic at the beach. When they arrive, they see that Boris and Barbara Bear, Auntie Alice and Aggie are also there! They eat and sing, while Aggie plays the accordion. They don’t notice the waves coming closer and closer. Miffy’s room is so messy, that she can’t find her schoolbag. Boris’ workshop is also untidy, so he can’t find his tools. He decides to put everything in its proper place, and goes to the school to make some new tables. He meets Miffy there and they both discover how important it is to have everything in its right place.

Miffy asks Boris Bear to make a bed for her teddy bear. Miffy and Snuffy help Boris. When Father Bunny comes to collect Miffy and Snuffy, the little bed with the teddy in it is placed on the backseat of the car. But when the road becomes bumpy, nobody notices when Teddy falls out of the car… except Snuffy. When they arrive home, Snuffy runs off into the woods and comes running back with teddy in her mouth! Boris is building a fire to surprise Barbara with a picnic. While he goes to get Barbara, Grunty and Poppy Pig arrive. They want to have a picnic as well and wonder whether they can use the fireplace that has been prepared. Just then Miffy and her parents arrive, and then Auntie Alice and Snuffy. Everyone seems to have planned to have a picnic and they all wonder who has prepared the fireplace. Finally Boris and Barbara return. Barbara is very happy with her surprise as she thinks Boris has invited all of her friends.

It is holiday time, and Miffy and her parents go off for a trip to the mountains. Miffy is very surprised when she sees snow in the summertime. They arrive at the shore of a beautiful lake where another surprise awaits Miffy: a beautiful rowing boat. What a wonderful holiday! Every day, Miffy waits for the Post Bunny, to see if there is something for her. One day, she gets a postcard from Melanie! Miffy wants to send a postcard in return, so she draws her house and things that she can see around her. Miffy takes her card to the postbox, so she can be close to her friends even when they are far away from each other!
