Description

Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department's most baffling cases. But after the tragic and still-unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, the devastated Monk became obsessive-compulsive. His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds ... even milk. Monk's condition cost him his job, but he's back as a police consultant despite the unique challenges he encounters in his everyday life. These challenges lead Monk to hire a personal nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), who is always there to offer her assistance, even with the simplest of tasks (including organizing his sock drawer). Sharona is Monk's own Girl Friday, an unlikely Dr. Watson to his Sherlock Holmes. Her less-than-subtle prodding helps keep the defective detective on track in his investigations, as well as in his efforts to convince Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) to allow him to return to the force.

Great show ! ! !

Love the series. Just want to know where on iTunes can I get the OTHER seasons???

Monk Season 1 and 4

It very rare in society where you can get a clean show without profanity and violence to be as entertaining as it… Tony Shalhoub (Monk) personifies OCD and brings the condition to reality making it entertaining and understandable. Every episode is brilliantly written making it one of the greatest shows on cable television now on the pod. You walk with the character as he assists San Francisco Homicide solving cases while handling the loss of his wife and his obsessive nature. Monk is a great show for anyone, give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

Great Show! However....

Am I missing something here...we get hooked through Season 1, then have to skip to the current season and miss #'s 2 and 3? That just seems WRONG to me...or honestly, did I miss something? Surely so.....
