This real-life drama features multiple sets of partners in the New Orleans Emergency Medical Services unit, whose skills, dedication and determination are on full display. In the premiere episode, a man discovered in the street bleeding from numerous gunshot wounds brings teams of EMTs to the scene. While they work furiously to keep the victim alive before taking him to the hospital, the police immediately begin the investigation. Later, firefighters encounter a case of suspected arson.
