In this sexy and suspenseful series featuring international action star Maggie Q (Mission: Impossible III) in the title role, Nikita has gone rogue. Division is an ultra-secret government agency whose operatives are recruited young people with severed ties to family, friends and society. Trained to be invisible assassins, no one ever leaves Division — except the charming and deadly Nikita, who has managed to escape, making it her mission to undermine the now-corrupt organization. A force to be reckoned with, the rogue Nikita taunts Division, staying on their radar, but always one step ahead. Yet as determined as Nikita is to bring down her former agency, there are those just as determined to stop her. Division's newest recruit, Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca, Kick-Ass), is a beautiful young woman who seems destined to replace Nikita as their next top operative. Filled with twists and thrills, Nikita also stars Shane West, Aaron Stanford, Melinda Clarke and Xander Berkeley.

Good with Potential for Greatness!

Look guys, you can't go into this show thinking you're gonna get the same feel as the first Le Femme Nikita. It's just not gonna happen. Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE fan of the old show, circa 1990's, but this new re-vamped version has serious potential that will definitely keep me around. I absolutely loved Maggie Q in this, so I'm glad the producers didn't stick with the same archetype of the old characters.

I'll admit, this new Michael, a la Shane West, sometimes has me cringing with his breezy delivery of lines, and dear God do I miss the accent, but I don't think we can count him out just yet. Case in point, his confrontation with Nikita. I thought he held his own, emotionally speaking anyways, and there was a tenderness about the way he looked at Nikita, even while his gun is trained on her, that really conveyed these two have history. If Shane can build that kind backstory with just a look, then I've got high hopes for the future.

Now the action, well I'd say it's pretty fair for a network like the CW (excluding SPN of course because that show is an entity onto itself.) But it definitely isn't on par with its first incarnation. The fights are stylized and fast, and usually amped up with music, but the grit isn't there yet. I wanna feel the punches, ya know? Wince when the bodyguard get's socked in the B-sac, a la Sydney Bristow, lol!

The twist at the end was a little something I hadn't expected, and it's probably the main reason I decided to stick with the show. Because if they can fool a Nikita veteran like me that far into the episode, then there is most definitely potential for greatness.

All in all, good show, but greatness factor is yet to be determined. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Great Show!

I don't know what some of these people are talking about because I think this new Nikita is way better then the old one. To me it is exciting & high energy & I know it will get better & better in time. It kind of feels my void of loosing one of my all time favorite shows with 1 of the sexiest baddest chick's on TV & that was ( Alias ). I love when they have bad a** females because they are sexy & they just do it better then the men & I am sorry, but they do. So to all of my fellow men, don't hate on the female spy/hero/star because they are just representing & showing the power of a female & I just love seeing them do good at what ever they touch or decide to do because everything just comes natural to them & I as a man am sick of men playing all of the major roles, so to see a woman acting her b*TT off, just feels good to see. This show Rocks! Don't listen to all the neanderthal's out there because this show is perfect at least to me & I will not be missing 1 episode. Enjoy a season of greatness because I sure will!
