In the first season of Beauty and the Beast detective Catherine Chandler, played by Kristin Kreuk, is a smart, no-nonsense homicide detective. When she was a teenager, Catherine witnessed the murder of her mother at the hands of two gunmen. Catherine would have been killed too, but someone – or something – saved her. No one has ever believed her, but she knows it wasn't an animal that attacked the assassins…it was human. Years have passed, and Catherine is a strong, confident, capable police officer, working alongside her equally talented partner, Tess. While investigating a murder, Catherine discovers a clue that leads her to a handsome doctor named Vincent Keller, played by Jay Ryan, who was reportedly killed by enemy fire while serving in Afghanistan in 2002. Catherine learns that Vincent is actually still alive and that it was he who saved her many years before. For mysterious reasons that have forced him to live outside of traditional society, Vincent has been in hiding for the past 10 years to guard his secret – when he is enraged, he becomes a terrifying beast, unable to control his super-strength and heightened senses. Catherine agrees to protect his identity in return for any insight he may have into her mother's murder.

New Beauty and the Beast

Honestly I have seen the original show and I didn't like it very much. There wasn't anything wrong with it I just got bored after a few episodes. So when I heard about this I was like yeah okay we'll see. Then I saw the preview and I became so interested. Plus it's on right after The Vampire Diaires my favorite show on TV. So it wasn't a big deal to start watching after that. The Pilot was amazing!!! I was freaking out and so into it the whole time. There is a different death in every episode or at least that's how it looks and she has to solve them, I love these kinds of shows. So far it isn't copying the original show at all. So give it a try because Kristen Kreuk is amazing and very good in this show. The other actors are very good as well. No reason to not give this show a try. I will be watching it every week. :)

Four Star for now, we'll see later...

So, having read the synopsis and seen the preview, I think this looks like a pretty good show. Plus, at least as of the wrirting of ths review the season pass is on sale for $9.99 (like they did Ringer when it came out) and so I went ahead and purchased it without having seen the show, as I think when they have these deals, it's just too good to pass up!

The perfect mixture

I find this new show is riveting and intriguing, bringing together two classic genres, crime drama and romance, for a truly enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend watching this show!
