I usually like all comedy shows on abc Family but...
…this one is just…BAD. Sorry.
Three new shows on this network I watched. This is the only one that I could not stand. There seem to be a list of problems. Please, allow me to explain.
First Spellings character. She may be a nice woman and a great actress. But, in this show, she is not. What is she, in her thirties? Why do they have her dressing like she is a 15-year-old going to the prom? It just kept throwing me off. Why in the heck did they put so much stuff on her face? I mean, dark red cheek bones, black eye shadow and white hair. What the heck is that all about? Nothing on her fit with anything else. She just stood out. It was distracting.
Her friend looked nothing like her. They did not have her dressed up as if she were a prop. But still, her acting was rough. She kept making these weird facial movements that took my attention away from the story. It was odd.
The guy that is their friend is so over the top. He in no way fits in with the two ladies. That seems to be a problem with this entire cast though. Not one of the characters seemed to connect. It was like the all just walked into a room and decided to read a script in front of the camera. It was very rough.
Finally, the set. It just seemed so white, bright and shiny. Very few shows make you feel as if you need sunscreen and sun glasses to watch.
In the end, this was just an awful show. I will try one more time. But, they just have a lot of things that fell flat to me.
Awful, so disappointed.
This is such a disappointment for both Tori and Jennie. I can't believe they'd make a choice to put this on the air. I hope it doesn't last. Poor example to their children of what they're made of. Acting is awful, Jennie is a natural, but what a waste. Hope they rethink this.
