For the first 20 years of his life, Sam (Bret Harrison) wondered why his parents went so easy on him. Whether it was school, sports or career choices, Sam's folks always let him get by with the least possible effort. As a result, Sam skipped college, and took a dead-end job at the local Work Bench home improvement store. Everything in his slacker world changed the day Sam turned 21 and discovered the truth: his parents sold his soul to the devil before he was even born. When Satan himself (Ray Wise) drops by to personally explain that Sam must now serve as his bounty hunter, tracking down evil souls that have escaped and returning them to Hell, Sam refuses to accept his bizarre fate. After getting a glimpse of Satan's temper, however, Sam realizes that breaking a deal with the devil has consequences that are very, very bad. Still, even while Sam is forced to do the Devil's bidding, he's determined to find a loophole in his contract, and to discover the real reason his parents were forced to make the evil deal in the first place.

"Devilish" Fun!!

This show is great! I wish more people were watching it; Brett Harrison (being a newcomer to me) is great as Sam. Harrison's acting is convincing enough for you to be sympathetic for his character. Tyler Labine is fantastic as "Sock," he's not only funny; he's sweet in his own way as a best friend. Ray Wise is marvelous playing an entity you hate because he's cruel but like for his comical "positive" side. Every week I watch this, the storyline gets more interesting, whether it's about Sam dealing with his "arrangement", or his friends, who aid Sam in his soul hunting, or even the escaped souls from Hell. I can't wait for more episodes and I hope they renew it for another season. Rock On Reaper!!

Kevin Smith directing the Pilot is worth the $1.99 alone!

It's about time iTunes finally got this. The pilot was directed by Kevin Smith and I have heard nothing but great reviews on this. I live in Okinawa, Japan and rely on iTunes to get alot of my up to date TV downloads. I have been scouring the CW page waiting for this to hit and it's finally here. The series co creators come from a Sci Fi backround (Buffy & X Files if memory serves correctly, and they are women so that should be a different take.) Hopefully the whole series lives up to the hype created by Silent Bob's launch! It's the story of a slacker kid whose parents sold his soul to the devil when he was younger. Now he has to do the devil's bidding collecting escaped souls from hell.

CW is growing better!!!

Reaper is my favorite new show that has come out. With a great plot and hilarious characters (Sock) you can't go wrong with this
