best new show!!
Wow...The pilot was amazing!!! I am so excited for this show! I really like the characters and it was really funny! Now heres to hoping that it doesn't get canceled like everything other new show I like seems to! Great Job Fox!
New Girl has time of life
For some reason, whenever Zooey Deschanel opens her mouth you never quite know what's going to come out. And this is true in just about anything you could see her in. She embodies quirk-perk. For this reason, she needs an environment where she can be the focus and be surrounded by some slightly less quirky characters less there be chaos. 'The Coach', 'The Douche', and 'The Nice Guy' do a pretty reasonable job of filling that part without being uninteresting or boring. The humor, for the most part, is well thought and doesn't feel forced -- TGFNLT (Thank God For No Laugh Track). Pilot has good chemistry and hopefully this should develop over time. I really like the 24p filmed-look, the use of locations, color, lighting and editing: it's just enough to not be stale.
Let's hope that the New Girl gets to hang around long enough so we can hear her sing some more.
Already a Favorite
Any show that has me cracking up more then once is a keeper in my book. Zooey Deschanel's character is very relatable and the whole show is just great. A must watch and possibly one of the best new comedies of the fall
