The opening episode is exciting, dramatic and story and character-driven. It doesn't seem constructed artificially to hook the viewer while building suspense, though it does develop interest as it moves and it moves. Bonds between siblings, nefarious types, partners, parents and children and teachers and students, and, most interestingly, rookie Secret Service agent and nerd student, sustain and deepen interest beyond the hook of the plot premise that a busload of privileged schoolchildren whose parents are powerful government types is seized in an elaborate and violent assault. I plan to watch again. Here's hoping Crisis stays reality-oriented, not melodramatic or soap operatic, and dramatizes its heroic theme all season long.
I felt I had to write a review because of the few people who wrote bad ones about this fantastic show. I don't get it, this show is so exciting. To be honest, I watch a lot of TV, and most shows just aren't that great, but I really love this one. It is a little 'out there' but not so much so that, that's all you think about. It's perfect if you ask me. I think it's thrilling and the cast is fantastic. I just love the rookie secret service guy and the chubby kid. They're awesome. Also, Scully's in this! And the mastermind bad guy is awesome and a great choice for this character, I really didn't see it coming when they showed him to be the mastermind of the whole thing. And I've never seen him on TV before, he usually only does movies. (i'm not gonna say his name, 'cause I don't wanna give anything away to people who haven't watched the pilot yet.) But anyway, I just thought I'd try to cancel out any of the bad reviews by writing this good review for people trying to decide if they're gonna watch this or not. Definitely give it a shot. I hope tons of people watch it so it stays on the air for a long time to come. My mother rarely has anything good to say about any TV shows, but she loves it too. It's got a lot of action and it's just really interesting. It's a perfect one hour distraction from real life. Watch it. It's a good one, I promise..
…not very credible. Kind of a 24 for less pretentious people. Nicely made but could need some improvements.
