I really love this show! So I downloaded the whole first season! But it is only showing me one episode?? Someone please help me!! Is it doing this to you ?
Bright Lights, Big City!
Am I the only person who watched this show?!? I'm not a huge fan of the reality tv genre, but (and I've read the reviews so I know I'm apparently the only person who feels this way) this show had it all-drama, wealth, beauty, talent, and some very authentic people with very real life struggles. I'm sad that it didn't get a fair chance, I really liked it. I'm not a country music fan, so I had never heard of The Mavericks or Raul Malo, his voice just blew me away! The show would have been worthwhile just for leading me to discover him! Bryan White and Gary Chapman are very talented performers as well, and it was interesting to watch their honest struggles with assessing whether their time in the spotlight had come and gone, juxtaposed with Sarah Davidson as an up and comer whose high profile marriage, well, went during this season (Dallas HAD to have been cheating, I think his baby mama had her kid about 5 months after his announced split with Sarah, classy). The Fernandez twins were a hoot-my favorites were Betty Malo and Cassie Chapman. I loved Jenny's confidence but felt she was way too harsh with people, especially Erika White, who seemed to be suffering from major depression. Watching Jenny's marriage was really nice though, who wouldn't love to have a J.T.??? Betty's philosophical take on being married to a major star was wise, I give her a lot of credit and it's no wonder she is who Raul still comes home to after all these years-no small feat in or out of the spotlight. A dark postscript to this show comes from a minor player in this show-Tina Brady's dentist husband Stan committed suicide a few years after this show ended.
