America’s favorite mentor Tim Gunn hosts Under The Gunn, a fashion competition series on Lifetime®. Seasoned Project Runway alumni Mondo Guerra, Anya Ayoung-Chee and Nick Verreos must prove they have the vision to mentor and manage their own crop of new designers. Facing the critiques of designer Rachel Roy, celebrity stylist Jen Rade and Marie Claire Senior Fashion Editor Zanna Roberts Rassi, designers compete weekly to make the cut. Tim begins with a round-the-clock challenge while the mentors measure the designers’ skill level and determine which four will land on their teams. Each week there’s a new challenge to test the mentors’ ability to bring out the best in their designers. Only the most talented and creative will survive to compete in the finale, where one designer and one mentor will be deemed the winners of Under the Gunn.

So far so good
My favorite part of Project Runway is Tim Gunn and the designers. I can't say I will miss either Zac Posen or Nina Garcia in this format. The idea of having a past winner acting as a mentor is a good idea and they don't have that sarcasm that some of the other judges have had. come to think of it I'm not sure who will be judging the designers. However, so far, the first episode was good to watch.
I have to admit I love Nina Garcia and Zac Posen and Michael Kors (missing him), and I have a few complaints. I don't think a mentor should ever have to choose one of their own for elimination. I am also frustrated that some designers put Tim Gunn in the frustrating position of cop. Why must he have to get them to the runway on time every episode? Shouldn't that be up to the mentors? I love the format though and am a big fan of Project Runway in all its incarnations.
This is just awful, sorry to say
I love Project Runway, and I love Tim Gunn. I thought this would be a no brainer. But it’s really terrible. I stopped after 2 episodes. The mentors are stiff and don’t say anything remotely interesting. The designers are SO boring. I have to assume these may be rejects from the real Project Runway. And I find the judging so arbitrary. I honestly thought the first person booted had the nicest dress! This is just the oddest show, it makes me uncomfortable to watch it.
