The history of money-lending dates back thousands of years. Long before the History hit series Pawn Stars, pawnbrokers helped people make ends meet by providing loans in exchange for personal items of value. There is no better example of today's pawnbrokers than the Harrison family's Gold and Silver Pawn shop on the outskirts of Las Vegas – the modern day Mecca for people in need of quick cash. Three generations of Harrison men clash with friendly camaraderie over items from classic cars to samurai swords. Here, everything has a history, and everything has a price. And you never know what's going to walk through the door.

I'm hyped up!
I've purchased every single episode of Pawn Stars that iTunes has so far and the Season 3 preview already has me sold for a buying a season pass. I love this show so much, it's like Antique Roadshow except there is a much larger assortment of items opposed to things like antique chairs, a dresser, or a quilt. Buy any one episode of this show and you'll want the rest.
This is a fun, informative show, and Rick (the bald guy), The Old Man, Corey and Chumlee know their business inside and out. Keep in mind that people go to pawn shops looking for instant cash without credit checks, etc. All pawn shops have to buy low and sell high in order to stay in business. It's a store, not a museum. All of these customers have the option of walking back out the door without selling their item. Rick definitely knows his stuff, always has, even way before the show began. Corey and Chumlee are very well versed in the operations of the shop as well. Richard, or The Old Man, is extremely smart and has been in the business for many years. It's great that they call in experts, we learn even more about the facts surrounding the item, and the customer will be more educated about the item, which helps he or she make an informed decision whether to sell the item to the shop, seek other means of selling, or keeping the item. It also benefits the shop, again to make an informed decision regarding buying and reselling the item.
Personal digs and insults about the personalities as far as appearance and intelligence, both buyers and sellers, are really small-minded and just boring. You're here to post a review about the show, not comment about someone on a personal basis that has nothing to do with the show itself. If you hate the show that much because of these things (appearances, etc.), why waste the time spreading nasty comments?
Man I can't wait for this season
I have every episode on my iPhone from season 1 and 2. I thought I was going to have to wait longer, but it's started!
I can't wait... I am this shows biggest fan.
If you haven't seen this show, just give it a chance... Watch 2 or 3 and you will be hooked buying seasons at a time.
I watched season 1 and 2 in 2 days -- one right after the other... It's that good!
