For Jake Doyle, dodging bullets is a lot less dangerous than his personal life. Jake (Allan Hawco) and his ex-cop father, Malachy (Sean McGinley), run a Newfoundland detective agency. Their rugged seaside town never lacks for intriguing cases, from cheating spouses to robberies, arson, and even murder.

Best Detective Show Ever!!!

I’d loves some more seasons to buy.

Awesome series from our neighbors to the north!!

This show is very reminiscent of shows like The Rockford Files and Magnum P.I.! Great cast! Great storytelling! And awesome environment! The mix of action, drama, and comedy are perfect! Hope iTunes picks up the remaining seasons soon!

Yes B’y!

Jake Doyle will be remembered in one breath with Columbo, Kojack, and Rockford as one of the great TV detectives.

In the first season of Republic of Doyle, the immensely talented Allan Hawco, introduces us to Jake; a newly divorced private detective, partnered with his father (Sean McGinley.) This fast paced, funny, romantic, joyride for the whole family lovingly pays homage to 'The Streets of San Francisco,' 'The Rockford Files' and others as Jake and the rest of the Doyle clan investigate crimes and solve mysteries in the beautiful St Johns, Newfoundland.

You will not be disappointed.
