Educator's Delight

Over thirty years ago, ABC figured out what many still struggle with today; kids learn best when it is a game. The introduction of School House Rock caused many to take notice. Kids who were glued to the Saturday morning cartoon line-up could now multiply. Words such as conjunction and adjective became part of their vocabulary. Learning had occurred. Today much of that learning has been replaced by more modern games such as Leap Pad. That doesn't however; diminish the value of School House Rock. Kids will learn these lessons if for no other reason than to sing and dance while they should be sitting up straight and quiet in the classroom. But $1.99 each for a three-minute commercial? Yes, originally they were commercials. Fillers sponsored by different companies to play between thirty-minute cartoons. Please, wise up. Make this learning experience more available to those who would love to use it in the classroom. Set the bundle at a much more reasonable price. Bottom line: Is it worth the price? Yes. Would it be more desirable at a lower price? Absolutely!

Great Stuff

First, if you are going to review this at least give a semi-intelligent review. Don't just write "this is stoopid." That being said here's my quick review. School House Rock! is one of my favorite memories from growing up. I'm 27 so maybe some of the younger people on iTunes don't get it. Yes they are educational. Yes they are short. But if you are around my age you probably don't remember every lesson you were taught in elementary school but you remember watching every episode of School House Rock! In my opinion the nastalgia factor alone is worth the price. I bought "I'm Just a Bill" episode as soon as I saw it on here. ABC did an excellent job of creating a series that was fun to watch, interesting, educational and short enough to hold the attention span of a young child. If you want to write a review at least review it's content and not just bash it because you don't know what it is. As for the rest of us who understand what School House Rock! is all about, enjoy!

How Perfect!

Schoolhouse Rock may not be something that all appreciate or 'value' because it may not have been a formative part of their childhood Saturday mornings. For me.. this is the perfect throwback clip to have on my video iPod for quick review anytime I'm happy (hooray!) or sad (awwww!) or just when I want to make some other Gen X'er smile from ear to ear. Thanks, iTunes! These are fantastic. To those complaining about the price... go download a SouthPark and have fun with Mr. Hanky. I'll take Rocky any day.
