Disappointed, but hopeful...
I had hopes for series 5, but was ultimately disappointed. Some interesting characters but the plot wasn't nearly as interesting as previous generations. (spoilers? Not really but just in case...)Pretty difficult to follow up Tony's manipulative escapades in series 1 & 2, and the Effy, Freddie, Cook love triangle cliffhanger (too bad they couldn't break with tradition and keep that cast around at least for another series, just to resolve that plot, but then apparently they're making a skins movie with that bunch so maybe we'll get answers after all)...I'll hold judgement on this cast until series 6. Both of the other generations had weaker first halves then got really good in the second. I just don't think they have a standout in the mix like Tony or Cookie Monster. Or Chris!
Diferent… yet it delivers
Although the beginning might seem a little lose, the characters develop quickly and become interesting every passing episode. Definitely more hedonistic, cheerful, and relaxing than season 3-4 yet it delivers all the components we love at Skins. Drugs, sex, drama.
Miss the previous cast..
as I had hoped for another season with them, but I like this group better than I thought I would. It's different and I really enjoyed the last episode. Can't wait for season 6!
