Description

Continuing on the enormous success of the previous two years, the third season of SNL (1977-78) showcased a fearless cast that created some of the most memorable sketches with breakthrough characters like The Nerds (Bill Murray and Gilda Radner), Coneheads (Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin), Lounge Singer (Bill Murray), Samurai Warrior (John Belushi), a singing King Tut (legendary host Steve Martin), and featuring Father Guido Sarducci (Don Novello) as well as The Franken and Davis Show (Al Franken and Tom Davis).

Give me a season pass!!

I want a season pass for the new episodes

Classic stuff

It's easy to look back on some sketches as very dated, sure, and some jokes may seem unoriginal. If that's true, though, it's only because so much of today's humor was inspired by the writing of this new, crazy show. It's definitely worth checking out, if for nothing else than for Chevy's first show back, when apparently he and Bill Murray got into an argument and then fight, which was resolved only moments before he did his opening monologue. Now that's good television.

Perfect!

The Steve Martin Episodes are some of the best.
