Soul Eater, Pt. 1HDTV-14Closed Captioning

Maka is a Meister, and Soul is her Weapon. As students at the Grim Reaper’s Death Weapon Meister Academy, their study habits couldn’t be more different. But in battle against the supernatural forces of evil, they’re a freakin’ lethal team. That’s when Soul transforms — literally — into a razor-sharp scythe, and every defeated wicked soul he sucks down makes him more deadly. That’s when Maka unleashes the merciless slayer within, wielding her partner and dropping monsters. Seriously. Monsters. Like the witches, werewolves, and zombies that lurk in the shadows and feed on the souls of the innocent. Every freakish ghoul Maka and Soul take out strengthens their bond, and fighting alongside their fellow Meister/Weapon classmates, Maka and Soul are the world’s last line of defense against evil.

FINALLY!!! I'm really happy about Soul Eater but I'm sorta disappointed about Black Star and Shinigami-sama's voice actors.....I prefer their Japanese voice actors. But still this is awesome and Excalibur is the most funniest character there is in Soul Eater.

Awesome series

I love Soul Eater. The fact that it's in English only makes it better. I have to say, some characters could have been cast better (namely Maka and Soul), but for the most part they are well done.

Originally, the humor was what made me watch (I love Kid's paranoia), but the action is what kept me coming back. The battles are intense, but not usually over-the-top like in DBZ. The characters also show good development through the series. I would definitely recommend this series.

My big complaint is the price tag. 23 dollars? Not sure I'd watch it enough for that price. I'd rather just go watch it online (though most of the forty-some-odd episodes aren't in English yet). I would recommend you watch at least the first five episodes or so online (the Funimation site has the first four dubbed) before buying just to be sure you enjoy it. But you should definitely watch the whole series, whether here or online!

Love Soul Eater, whether English or Japanese

After watching the first 4 episodes, I'm still loving the series. I did find it odd when I hear Black Star's voice. However, all the voices seem to be right. I do love Death the Kid's voice. XDDD I plan on buying the whole series.
