The foremost authority on biochemical poisons refuses to see the declining Starsky, claiming that he can do nothing to save him. Hutch continues the investigation and turns up three suspects, but matters take a tragic turn when Starsky kills the most likely suspect. Unfortunately the man is probably the only one who could identify the poison administered. In shooting the suspect, Starsky has surely signed his own death warrant.

    Bounty Hunter

A lady bail bondsman and an urban mercenary compete with police in pursuit of an alleged killer, as "Bounty Hunter." A man jumps bail to escape prison and a bounty hunter immediately follows his trail. The alleged murderer has threatened to kill those who testified against him in preliminary hearings, so time is precious. Starsky and Hutch join the search, but each failure to catch the suspect leaves them without clues and wondering if, in fact, the man actually exists. They are shot at, a witness is murdered, and buildings are burned -- yet only the bounty hunter seems to have the inside track in the case.
