He couldn’t be more screwed. Golden Globe-winner David Duchovny is back in the smart, wild and sexy SHOWTIME hit comedy series CALIFORNICATION – and it’s going to be the most scandalicious season yet. A one-night misunderstanding has landed Hank Moody in serious hot water, but his troubles don’t end there. It seems like it’s the entire State of California vs. Hank Moody, and he’s not going to get off easy.

I'm in love with this show and Mia Culpa (Madeline Zima) is gorgeous!

Excellent show

One of the best original shows on the air.

Time for them to quit

I've always been ambivalent about this show, but this season I've finally made up my mind that it's really pretty much become dreary cr#p. The only thing good about the show is the central character, Hank Moody, and maybe that of his agent or at lest the relationship between the two. I've always found the character of his wife irritating, dull and strained (she's clearly about the break back into a British accent at any moment) and that there was a total lack of chemistry between them. Everybody else is similarly a 2 dimensional backdrop to the Hank Moody show.

If you've seen one season you've essentially seen them all, as there's no real development, they just keep circling back to the same lousy choices and confused relationships, like a slow 4 year circling of the drain. It's like the show's central gravity just won't let anybody change substantially, probably due to a lack of writer/director creativity. At the end of the last episode you might be led to believe that there's finally some resolution in the character's confused relationships, but I have a feeling that Ducovney is going to miss the ego self-gratification that basically portraying himself brought, and he'll figure some way to try to rearrange the same tired pieces into something salable. If so I won't be buying.
